Wow! 40 years, how can that be? We've all done a heap of livin since highschool. I was married to my son's father for 3 years & then divorced. Three years later I met the love of my life, Mike. He's half filipino & grew up in the Philippines. I met him while he was in the service over here. We will be married for 33 years on May 1st. What a guy, to put up with me & our cold winters all these years! Mike is an engineer & works for Varian Medical systems. However their group in Lincolnshire does research & development in exray & security systems for homeland sercurity in our country as well as others. Our son Mike, also works at Varian as a ct technician. Our daughter lives in Ca. & is a major gifts campaign manager for the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Me, I'm still doing residential housecleaning & have been for about 25 years. I had a partner for awhile, but she left the business. I'm working very part time now. Believe it or not, I still enjoy the work & get satisfaction from it. It's my own house that I find sometimes hard to keep up with, that, & cooking, I'm burned out in the kitchen. Mike doesn't have to twist my arm to go out to dinner. I do enjoy dabbling in crafts & decorating our home. We also love to travel & we enjoy camping. The only grandkids that I have so far are a dog, 3 cats & 2 chickens named Lucy & Ethyl..........But, I feel that I've been very Blessed over the years. I am so proud of my family. Our son is a colon cancer survivor, it'll be 3 years next month. He also ran the most recent Chicago marathon, what a Champ!!!........Losing my twin, Tom, was one of the most difficult times in my life, but I know he's in a better place now. We've all had our share of ups & downs since high school. The Beatles got it right when they sang "Mama never told me there'd be days like these"! I'm looking forward to the reunion this year, it's been so much fun reading about everyone's lives & seeing all the pictures! |

School Story: |

I'll never forget the time that Roxanne Curry & I decided to skip class after 3rd hour. She went home sick first, then cameback to school, wearing a shower cap, so that people would think that it was my mother. As luck would have it, someone from wood shop saw the whole thing & Phyllis Wear, the school nurse came to my house & brought me back to school. Busted!!!!!! |
